The camera is rarely used during these hibernation months so I thought this would be a perfect time to challenge myself to get behind the camera for no other reason than to have fun. A great friend and fellow photographer, Amy Carroll, has joined me in the challenge. Each week I will post the photos from the project and selected favorites that were not part of the official project.  The entire series is posted on Flickr and you can go there to see the back story on all of the photos.

I should mention I started this project in early January but scrapped it for a month due to business and travel. I am including a few of the photos from the first attempt in January.

The second story of an abandoned house in Traverse City. It appears to have been once a bright and cheerful place. Blues, yellows and purples are fading and peeling from years of neglect.
