I assisted the amazing Amy Carroll on a day where Michigan State University triumphed over the University of Michigan in football! As a graduate of MSU, I was thrilled but I did not have any time to celebrate. We hit the MSU campus with the wedding party shortly after the game ended and got some photos at the Botanical Gardens. I photographed my first wedding ever at the gardens so it was nice to go back. Okay, enough rambling from me. This is a very quick and short preview of what’s to come. I am heading out of state for a few days and wanted to make sure I got something posted for Nikki and Jake before I left.

blog-19-41-09I love this photo of Nikki dancing with her Dad. Nikki is an accomplished and talented photographer so I wanted to create some nice shadows and drama. This was done with a single flash with a 20 degree grid and fired remotely. I was able to pick up the expression on her Dad’s face, which, for me, tells  the entire story.
