The butterflies at Meijer Gardens are right around the corner. This is a photo from February 2009 but it is one of my favorites that has not been published (until today). What I love about this image is how it seems to capture the true essence of butterflies. They are beautiful creatures with frantic wings and a fleeting life yet, they always leave an indelible mark on the soul. Take the time to watch butterflies. You will never be disappointed.

Carol Villman - That is beautiful. I think you should be required to write something for each photo you post. Your photos always move me but your words touch my heart. Combined they are a lethal combination. Thank you so much for sharing your view of the world.
