I love fall weddings! Getting to work with Jen from JK Photography on a beautiful fall day is awesome. It’s even awesomer when the wedding is taking place at the Calvin College Chapel. The chapel is flooded with beautiful light and its circular seating arrangement makes for great photographs. The awesomest (yeah, I know these aren’t words but work with me) is knowing there will be a beautiful couple with amazing friends and family. As if the day couldn’t get any better, Leslie and Rob held their reception at the Van Andel Museum!!
We took advantage of the great weather (kind of chilly but otherwise perfect) to get a lot of photographs on the campus of Calvin College before the ceremony. Leslie and Rob are naturals in front of the camera and it didn’t take too much coaxing to get them strutting their stuff! The entire wedding party had a great vibe going and it was evident there was a lot of love between this group.

One of my favorites!

I love how this shot came together. Kind of random with the guys backlit by the sun and throwing some long shadows. Very cool!

Captured the guys totally relaxed and having fun. I love these types of photographs when people forget their is a photographer in their midst and act naturally. Love this photo!

Each table at the reception had its own unique cake. Exquisite details. Just look at that cake! See it? Where do you see cakes like that?? Works of art.

Speaking of works of art….. Bell’s Winter White Ale. Choice.

I want his glasses.

Seriously. The Van Andel Museum is beautiful and a perfect location for a reception.

Seeing Leslie and Rob come down these stairs reminded me of an old movie. The lighting adds to their natural elegance. I just love how the light falls on the stairs and especially how it hits Leslie. Love it!

Don’t they look like Hollywood royalty? Pure elegance. And I just had to get another cake photo in this post.

Jen taking a spin on the carousel. The lengths we will take to get the perfect photo.

He doesn’t look too happy. Love the detail on this old carousel. I bet this horse frightens small children.

Ice Ice Baby….. The dance floor was PACKED all night long. Most of the guests wore orange or camoflauge because it was the opening day of deer season.

Let there be light. Another wicked move on the dance floor.
