Class of 2009!! – Kaleigh and Chris

Hailing from the class of ’85 (Has it been that long??), senior photo sessions have come a LONG way since I stood in front of a camera with a pink polo shirt and my hair parted smack dab down the middle of my head. I remember looking at my proofs and basically pointing to a random photo and declaring it the winner. One pose, one photo to capture the essence of a graduating senior in 1985.

The class of ’09, on the other hand, has so many options available to them that it boggles the mind. I had the pleasure of photographing Kaleigh and Chris, cousins from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Kaleigh is going to be a senior at Jenison High School and Chris is going to be a senior at Catholic Central High School. We all met up at the studio and traveled around the Monroe avenue area to get some really cool shots. We wrapped the session up with some fun stuff in the studio.

I’m intrigued by the whole “fingers in the pocket’ look. In my day, we stuck our whole hand in our pockets. Times have changed.
